CHRIS ROSE
Director / Writer / Producer
This is Us!
Hi, and welcome to my site! Please take off your shoes.
That’s better. Now a little about me in the third person: Chris is an Emmy-nominated and PGA Awards nominated producer, writer, and director. He most recently worked with Sacha Baron Cohen on Borat 2: Subsequent Moviefilm, helping to pull off some of the biggest set pieces in the film.
Before that, he directed sketches and field pieces for Desus & Mero on Showtime, working with greats like Senator Elizabeth Warren and Gabrielle Union. He is also the Co-Creator / Co-EP of the hour-long special, Desi Lydic: A Broad, for Comedy Central and was a field producer at The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.
In his three years at The Daily Show, Chris worked with Senators, Doomsday Preppers, Omar from The Wire, and a whole lot of angry people with guns. But his most rewarding moments were spearheading The Daily Show’s venture into Trump rallies, from their confusing beginnings to now unavoidable reality. These segments were also the most successful in The Daily Show's history, garnering hundreds of millions of views.
Before The Daily Show, Chris created and hosted a live late night comedy show, Late Night Basement, that won New York Magazine’s “Best Comedy Show” in 2015. He's also contributed to The Onion, Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update and worked on the development of shows like Tru TV’s Hack My Life.
Check out his work below, and apologies about the raccoons that took off with your shoes. He swears that doesn’t normally happen.
